Practice Gratitude: Humility starts with being grateful for what you have, rather than always seeking more. Take time every day to think about the things you’re grateful for and acknowledge them.
Listen More Than You Speak: When engaging with others, make a conscious effort to listen more than you talk. This shows that you value their perspective and are open to learning from them. Note: God gave us 2 ears and 1 mouth, not the other way around.
Admit Your Mistakes: No one is perfect, and everyone makes mistakes. Rather than trying to hide or justify your mistakes, admit to them and take responsibility. This shows that you’re willing to learn from your mistakes and improve.
Acknowledge Others’ Achievements: When others achieve success, congratulate them and acknowledge their hard work. This shows that you value their efforts and accomplishments, rather than feeling threatened by them.
Accept Feedback: Be open to feedback, even if it’s critical. This shows that you’re willing to learn and grow, and that you value others’ opinions.
Put Others First: When interacting with others, put their needs and desires ahead of your own. This shows that you value their feelings and are willing to sacrifice for their benefit.
Practice Humility in Success: When you achieve success, be humble about it. Recognize the role that others played in your success and avoid bragging or boasting.
Serve Others: Look for ways to serve others and make their lives better. This could be as simple as volunteering your time or offering to help someone in need.
Avoid Comparisons: Comparing yourself to others can lead to feelings of superiority or inferiority, neither of which are conducive to humility. Instead, focus on your own growth and development.
Embrace a Learning Mindset: Humility comes from a willingness to learn and grow. Approach every situation with an open mind and a desire to learn something new.
